Eugene Field Elementary identified as National ESEA Distinguished School
Eugene Fields Elementary was recognized in Category 2: Closing the achievement gap between student groups for two or more consecutive years.
Mrs. Jennifer Taylor, principal at Eugene Field Elementary, identified their involvement with Missouri Model Districts as being a primary reason for their sustained improvement. The MMD/DCI effective teaching and learning practices helped them focus their work, ultimately increasing student engagement and achievement.
Additionally, Patty Robertson, Assistant Superintendent, says, “It is indicative of how all of our schools feel about the work we’ve been involved in over the years (CW, MMD, and DCI).”
With the support of the Poplar Bluff School District leadership, Poplar Bluff continues to be a committed educational partner helping further the MMD/DCI work statewide.

This video library, featuring a series of video trainings on focused topics, has been compiled and developed by MoEdu-SAIL, together with our partners at DESE and the Missouri RPDCs. The videos range from briefs (3-4 minutes) to longer, more detailed videos (15 minutes) providing DCI districts with a place to get in-depth information on topics that apply more specifically to their districts. Coaching Support Team Facilitators and Members will help districts determine which videos best accommodate their needs.
