MAP-A 2023-24

The MAP-A for Test Administrators Training is intended for Special Education personnel who administer the MAP-A. This training will cover choosing Essential Elements to assess student skills, describe the KITE Suite, and discuss important dates. Additionally, participants will learn how to integrate instructionally relevant testlets into daily instruction. Participants will also become familiar with the compliance components related to the MAP-A.

  • Become familiar with the relationship between the MAP-A and DLM
  • Learn MAP-A vocabulary
  • Be able to locate MAP-A resources on DESE and DLM
  • Learn how eligibility is determined for MAP-A
  • Know the timelines for the MAP-A assessment
  • Know the similarities and differences for MAP-A ELA, math and science
  • Know the responsibilities of test administrators and other school district roles
  • Learn how to use the Instruction and Assessment Planner
  • Understand how to use the KITE System
