Nikki Crawford

Nikki researches the most current and effective strategies to support students, and use these materials to create training content for MoEdu-SAIL. She has worked in special education for nearly 40 years in a number of different capacities including teaching, training, coaching, content creation, quality evaluation and research. Dr. Crawford has a PhD in special education from the University of Kansas with a focus on school reform and inclusion of students with disabilities. Nikki loves this field of work and continues to meet many amazing people, including those with disabilities who teach her a great deal. She lives with her husband in Overland Park, Kansas and frequently travels to Iowa to spend time with her extended family including two adorable grandchildren.
